The High Line: Section 2

The High Line's Section 1 ends in a field of Prairie Dropseed (Sporobolis heterolepis). Section 2 will open this spring.
The High Line is a long-ago abandoned elevated rail line being converted into an aerial park in Manhattan. With plantings designed by Piet Oudolf, Section 1 opened to great success last year. Here is a video preview of Section 2, which will open this spring.

  1. Awesome...I really, REALLY need to get to NYC someday soon to see this. It's pretty cool to see how excited they are about the project, I can only imagine how much it ads to the area.

  12. I can't wait either! One of so many reasons to visit NYC again. The video was so exciting -- did you notice how those guys showing it to us couldn't stop smiling? I felt like jumping up and down; this project really makes you feel like you were a part of it and that the impossible can actually be possible. Thanks for reminding us James.
