Pycnanthemum muticum is one of the real successes in my garden, almost a perfect match with the environmental conditions here. I have masses, and I'm planting even more this year. I have to try out plants to find what will grow well in my wretched soil (which I refuse to "improve.")James Goldenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12718058779971621920noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20141337.post-77901930650727879672013-04-03T10:05:02.504-04:002013-04-03T10:05:02.504-04:00Thank you for this. I found myself wanting to take notes as I looked from combination to combination, saying things to myself like, "I really should use more Mountain mint, and, oh yes, love how that Sesleria is lower and below the path creating an almost marsh board walk type effect". This is one my favorite of Oudolf's projects but the last time I was there must be like 2003. How is that even possible? I too have these glorious images of the Allium angulosum, which was planted en masse by the monuments. Makes mental note to go back again.studio TOOPhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11474878947181973963noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20141337.post-74882829737640066382012-02-14T18:04:36.594-05:002012-02-14T18:04:36.594-05:00The plant combinations are very inspirational i sh...The plant combinations are very inspirational i should have said also!!GreenArt Landscapeshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07093989345817119720noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20141337.post-57784458049267407322012-02-14T18:03:03.965-05:002012-02-14T18:03:03.965-05:00Great post James, thanks for sharing!Great post James, thanks for sharing!GreenArt Landscapeshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07093989345817119720noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20141337.post-67025791226163983882012-02-05T21:20:43.265-05:002012-02-05T21:20:43.265-05:00Easy to get to. I just made it to the Gardens of Rememberance at Battery and the NY Botanical Garden. Looking forward to another visit to the city already... but entertaining myself with blogs about Piet Oudoulf in the mean time. You are so right his work is like visual music...

Cheers,Sarahttp://softdimension.net/blognoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20141337.post-64440875855091420522010-06-14T22:03:05.898-04:002010-06-14T22:03:05.898-04:00Sara,
